The United Arab Emirates consists of seven emirates and each emirate has a different ruler. Over the years, UAE has proven to be a successful country in every step it takes, for the country's well-being and, most importantly, in making the citizens and residents contented in residing. This success of the country is accredited to the founding fathers and the leader’s style of ruling the country.
The role of leadership in the UAE during the period when the coronavirus pandemic had an outburst was effective to sort out the Covid-19 disruption and ‘UAE was the first country to reach out and support global humanitarian initiatives. To combat the Covid-19 UAE introduced; a fund named ‘The Fund of the United Arab Emirates: Homeland of Humanity, which opened doors for financial and in-kind contributions from people and companies; food campaigns to support the low-income families, hospital services like free stem cell therapy of critical patients, evacuated UAE citizens from affected countries and several more to fight the pandemic crisis.
Dubai EXPO 2020 beckoned a new chapter in the country’s history by opening during the pandemic and it performed safe opening and operations by following the healthcare laws. The leadership was confident that during EXPO 2020, the strong and vital infrastructure of healthcare laws, legislation, policies and regulations could effectively manage the pandemic. Leadership is an important strategy for effectively succeeding in any measures to develop a country and the leadership of the UAE has shown its victory in different ways throughout the years by putting forward astute strategies and vital foundations.
The presidency and the commander in chief of UAE are held by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and, the vice presidency and premiership are held by the Emirate of Dubai. The first president of UAE was HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and he was succeeded by his son, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was rested in peace on May 13th, 2022. On May 14th the third and the current president of UAE, HH Sheikh Muhammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was elected by the Federal Supreme Council. HH Sheikh Muhammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “to strengthen the foundations and capabilities of the nation”, has set a 50-year plan to innovate and diversify the economy which conditions upon to be a vision of a future-focused government, brilliant educational system, more economic diversification, and happy and unified society.
